The designers were challenged to create menswear, and the challenge of that task led to Carmen’s elimination. Even she knew she was in trouble. “I have enough integrity to say this was a complete miss for me,” she said on the runway. Her model, as Heidi said, “was half-naked,” since Carmen didn’t have a shirt for him to wear. And the pants that she did make weren’t impressive; Michael Kors said that “the crotch on the pants is insane.” Ultimately, Carmen said that the outfit “does not represent me as a designer,” but it did end her time on “Project Runway.”
