A ‘SURVIVOR’ Winner At A Loss In North Beach
On Tuesday there was the story of Yul Kwon, the winner of the popular reality TV show “Survivor,” who ran into problems opening a yogurt store in North Beach. Kwon was granted a building permit on Nov. 13 to set up a Red Mango outlet. He signed a lease but then was told he ran afoul of the strict North Beach ordinance against “formula chain” stores.
Kwon’s permit was pulled, leaving him holding the yogurt.
