Adam Richman v. The Big Ugly Burger Challenge in Indianapolis – Wednesday!
During his visit to the home of the Indy 500, Adam is ready to race for taste. In the “Circle City”, Adam first stops at Edwards Drive-In, home of Indy’s Holy Trinity: a homemade root beer, basket of crispy onion rings, and a pork tenderloin sandwich. Every day 500 Holy Trinities fly out the door, but none will compare to the surprise that awaits Adam. Next, at Gray Brothers Catering, Adam gets a taste of authentic home style, Hoosier hospitality. Adam assists the kitchen in making one beautiful strawberry pie, and homemade meatloaf from scratch. At the restaurant that has the ability to create “home on a plate”, will Adam get his loaf on?
To prepare for his final pit stop, Adam joins IndyCar series driver Tony Kanaan, for some tips on how to achieve victory in The Big Ugly Burger Challenge. After learning how to win the race, Adam takes to Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream where he finds out that a single Ugly Burger is a one and a half pound hamburger that is smothered in the equivalent of one stick of butter and enormous Hoosier flavor. Adam hopes he can finish the four burgers that make up the six pound challenge. Over 42,000 people have attempted this challenge, and none have succeed; but will Adam take a victory lap, and receive a glorified life-size cut out on the wall?
