It’s been a tough week for “American Idol,” which made the news for its declining viewership and the unfortunate Paula Abdul comments on last week’s show stand out that much more. Fortunately, the “Idol” fans helped make things a little brighter for the show’s final two weeks by evicting the contestant who least deserved to be in the final three.

Phenomenon Continues With Season 4 Premiering August 2008

MTV gives viewers unprecedented access to celebrate the highly anticipated season three finale on Monday, May 12th beginning at 8PM ET with “Live From The Hills Season Finale.” The cast of “The Hills” will join fans at the ultimate finale event live from a mansion in Beverly Hills as we get up close and personal with the cast like never before. Good effort still ends in swan song on ‘Dancing’

After one of his strongest nights on the dance floor, Mario just didn’t have the viewer votes to make it to the semifinals. On Monday night, the R&B singer dominated the ballroom round with a Viennese waltz equal to his previous Latin efforts. The dance even sailed a point past his jumping jive follow-up. That middle-of-the-pack finish didn’t matter when it came time for the elimination. Maintaining his good sport attitude till the end, Mario told his harshest critic, Len Goodman, “Ultimately, you helped me become a better ballroom dancer.”
